Sandy is a PhD APRN\, Advanced Practice Nurse\, who specialized in counseling and coping support with those facing medical illness. Newly retired from her active practice in NJ\, she spends time consulting as a health advocate.

The men\, women\, and children of our partner organizations in Nicaragua are coping with the pandemic\, the aftermath of two hurricanes\, and the bullying of an increasingly authoritarian political regime. Let’s give them a lift with donations of used-but-still-useful items culled from our homes. You can leave boxed or bagged items in the Nicaragua donation room in the church basement. He is also a Spiritual Director. \n  \nSandy Johanson has been a member of Christ Church since 1970.  After many years in New Jersey\, she now lives in downtown Seattle in a high rise Senior Community with her new puppy\, Lilly.  Sandy is a PhD APRN\, Advanced Practice Nurse\, who specialized in counseling and coping support with those facing medical illness.  Newly retired from her active practice in NJ\, she spends time sonsulting as a health advocate. \n\n

Instead of hosting our guest in our church\, these are the following ways that you can support family promise during our virtual hospitality week:\n  \n–          Donate Shoprite or Uber gift cards.\n–          Donate pantry staples and cleaning supplies to support the families while they live in temporary shelter apartments\n–         Make dinner for a family of 4 in Elizabeth-  You can still make a meal for Family Promise by making a meal for a family of 4. Simply click on this for available times and Amy Jones from Family Promise will contact you. Here are the details for making meals.  NO PORK EVER. Fish & green salads are not popular\, but beef\, chicken & pasta are hits. Simple cooked veggies are great as well.\n–          Donate toiletries and seasonal items.\n  \n Please contact Annel Mitchell (annelmontero1@gmail.com or 646-275-9911) if you want to participate in any of the ways listed above or want more information.
