DESCRIPTION:Backpack Collection: This summer\, our Sunday School class has been “praying around the world.” Through these lessons\, we are reminded how fortunate we are to have access to education regardless of age\, gender\, or socioeconomic status.  One World One Love\, a non-profit organization committed to supporting and resettling refugees\, is in need of new backpacks for students moving to New Jersey.  A donation box will be located in the atrium through the month of August and will be prayed over during our backpack blessings on September 4th.  Thank you for supporting this ministry and helping a child feel welcomed and loved.

DESCRIPTION:Reproductive Rights Group: The newly-formed Reproductive Rights group will host a “Vote Forward” letter-writing event after service next Sunday\, July 31st. The aim is to motivate people to get out and vote in the mid-terms—not to convince someone to vote for a specific candidate. Dave and Jayne Graepel\, who are very familiar with this process\, will provide lists and they’ll guide us on how to encourage voter participation in all elections via this highly-effective communication method. We’ll hear from two speakers who have targeted knowledge related to this issue:\n\n\n  \n  \n\nDEBRA GUSTON\, Esq. Guston & Guston\, L.L.P. Debra specializes in reproductive law and adoptions\, including adoptions to same-sex couples. She will explain the legal ramifications for women\, and possible cascading effects for the Supreme Court’s leaked decision.\n\n  \n  \nJODI MAGEE former CEO of Physicians for Reproductive Health. Jodi will talk about what is currently being done to help women in places where abortion is not being allowed.
