Leader:  Creator of the world, eternal God,
People:  We have come from many places for a little while.
Leader:  Redeemer of humanity, God-with-us,
People:  We have come with all our differences, seeking common ground.
Leader:  Spirit of unity, go-between God,
People:  We have come on journeys of our own, to a place where journeys meet.
Leader:  So, here in this shelter house, let us take time together.
All:  For when paths cross and pilgrims gather, there is much to share and celebrate.

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power,

Join us on Sunday, May 3rd for “Man & Woman: Much Ado About Something” Tea at Christ Church. Bob Petrus and Liz Jefferson return to take us on a journey exploring the inexhaustible and enigmatic topic of Man and Woman through drama, poetry, stories, quotes and letters. If you missed the last one, this is your chance to take part in a beautiful afternoon! The event will take place in Lile Hall at 4 p.m., and will be catered by Stephanie Fisk. Space is limited, so please RSVP to Cheryl Levy at or 908-273-5549, by Monday, April 27th. Tickets are $15 per person.

Nicaragua Container Shipment: Your generosity continues to bring hope and joy to children and their families in Nicaragua. Please bring your donations of summer-weight clothing and shoes, sports equipment, and household items to the church parking lot on Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This year we are trying out a new coded labeling system to foil would-be pilferers in the Nicaragua customs house. To support this effort, please bring all donations in plain boxes (i.e., even if it is a brand new item, take it out of its original packing and put it in a nonspecific box), then for each box write the contents on a piece of paper or masking tape and affix it loosely to the box. Jim Burchell, of PeaceWorks, will be removing these loose labels and replacing them with coded labels as the boxes are loaded into the container later that day. Thank you for helping sustain this worthwhile, much-appreciated project! Please call if you have questions: Marilyn Devroye or Dan Ocone.

Summit College Club/AAUW Annual Book Sale: Pre-sale $15, April 22, 2pm-7pm; April 23-24, 10am-8pm; April 25, books 1/2 price, 10am-4pm; April 26, fill-a-bag day, 1pm-4pm. Sale held at the American Legion Hall, 357 Elkwood Ave, New Providence, behind the Municipal Bldg, and next to the Library. Tax deductible donations of books will be accepted at the American Legion from April 14 through 21. Proceeds fund scholarships that help local girls go to college.

Habitat for Humanity Restore: The Morris Habitat for Humanity operates a ReStore in Mine Hill. The ReStore sells surplus new and gently used building supplies and home furnishings at bargain prices. They are located at 102 Iron Mountain Road in Mine Hill, just off Route 46. On Saturday, May 2, they will be holding a Spring Bonanza from 9 am to 4 pm to which crafter and garage salers are invited to participate. This will also be a good time to see this unique facility and perhaps find something you need. For more information visit www.morrisrestore.org, or call 973-366-3358.
