All:  we will make our prayer...into something alive!

Our Father, who art in heaven,

Planned Parenthood Adult Education Session – Today, Sunday, April 22nd, following 9:30 am service, Barnwell Hall:

Parents say they are going to do it, but few actually do. "How to Talk About Sex with Your Kids," is the topic of the Adult Education session following the 9:30 a.m. service, this Sunday, April 22nd. Christ Church has invited Allyson Sandak, an educator from Planned Parenthood to talk about ways to initiate the conversation and deal with the inevitable silences and embarrassment (theirs and ours). And, because she is in regular contact with high school and college students, Allyson can inform us of some of the issues our kids may be facing that we may not be aware of. If we don't provide the information to our kids that we want to communicate, there are plenty of other sources that will. Just think of them...

So, following the early worship service, grab a coffee and join us for this compelling presentation and discussion on a subject that so many of us parents will address with our youth.

Spring Tea, With Love - May 6th: Music and Fine Arts is sponsoring a tea and poetry reading on Sunday afternoon, May 6th at 4PM in Lile Hall. We will be serving high tea catered by Stephanie Fisk. Please join us for a memorable afternoon. Admission is $10. RSVP to Sue Buffum sabuffum@yahoo.com.

Join us for another GIRLS' NIGHT OUT AT BEADLUXE on Thursday, May 3rd 7-9. Bring some wine or an hors d'oeuvre or dessert and make a necklace or bracelet for yourself or as a gift. We had a great time in the fall so come join us this spring !Please RSVP Carol Angle at jerseyangle@aol.com.

There will be a "New Member Sunday" on May 13th at the 9:30 service. If you are interested in joining the church or have questions, please speak to Julie or Chuck or contact Carol Angle, membership chair at jerseyangle@aol.com.

The next PeaceWorks Container Shipment to Nicaragua will be Saturday, May 5: Below is a list of special requests from our partner organizations in Nicaragua. If you have any of the mentioned items to give, please bring your donations to the church parking lot that morning between 9-11:30 a.m.

Please don’t wait until noon. The earlier we get our donations to Plainfield, the greater the chance that all of our goods will make it into the container before it fills up. Please aim for 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. if you possibly can.

If you have a heavy item to donate and want it picked up, please call in advance to Dan Ocone or Marilyn Devroye).

Our friends in Nicaragua hugely appreciate the Christ Church donations. Inhijambia director Mirna Sanchez says the girls in her program open the Christ Church boxes first, because that’s where they always find the nicest things. Thanks to you all for making this such a rewarding experience!
