Sunday school begins promptly at 9:30 today !Please go directly to your class. All children age 2 and above will be brought into church at the END of the service for family communion today.

Adult Education Today: Join us at 10:45 in Barnwell Hall. Joe Salsberry will present a quick overview of World Vision's mission, programs scope, and related Christ Church support. He will be accompanied by Emmanuel Mutangana a former World Vision sponsored child from Rwanda who will play the prelude for the service and speak during our Adult Education hour. Emmanuel will discuss the impact of economics on tribal conflict and the ongoing reconciliation process in Rwanda.

Emmanuel is currently enrolled in a Masters program in Washington, DC and is a candidate for the Masters and PhD. program in International Business Administration at Georgetown. He has an undergraduate degree in Communication Arts from Daystar University in Kenya. In addition, he has participated in a PBS panel discussion on genocide, was a guest Speaker for Model UN in Syracuse, founded a youth group to promote peace and reconciliation in Rwanda, and is an alumni of the Witherspoon Fellowship of Washington, DC.

There will be a "New Member Sunday" on March 11th at the 9:30 am service. If you are interested in joining the church or have questions, please speak to Julie or Chuck or contact Carol Angle, Membership chair, or .

Book Group meeting date has changed to March 22nd, 12:30 pm at Jan Weisblat’s, 448 Wyoming Ave., Millburn. We’ll discuss The Children of Men by P.D. James. All are welcome.

Christ Church will host its 11th annual Women’s Retreat in Ocean Grove, NJ on March 24 and 25. This year’s topic is Unmasking Ourselves: Discovering Authenticity. Come join us as we explore the following questions: Who are you? Who do you want to become? Who is God calling you to be? The retreat will start at 3:00 on Saturday and end at 3:00 on Sunday. Come spend 24 hours with other women of all ages from Christ Church as we replenish our souls and rejuvenate our hearts, minds and bodies. Good food, good company and good conversation is guaranteed !All women are welcome – bring your friends. The cost is $90 to share a room, $115 for a single. Dinner on Saturday night will be extra. Scholarships are available. To register send in a check, made out to Christ Church, with “Women’s Retreat” in the memo line. For more information contact Rev. Julie Yarborough.

KATRINA MISSION TRIP OPPORTUNITY: The members of Christ Church have the opportunity to be part of an adult work group to rebuild the Gulfport, MS along with the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church’s mission council. This week long trip will be from May 5-12, and responses are needed asap.

This is the fourth trip for this mission group, and they have said it was a defining moment in their lives. It is a camping-type experience, and the cost is $500-600 including airfare and most meals.

Wine Tasting to Benefit Hudson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) on Friday, March 9 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at The Atrium at the Harborside Financial Center, Jersey City, NJ. Catered tasting is run by the Springfield Wine Library, and tickets are $50. per guest with generous support provided by Fidelity Investments, Goldman Sachs and The Provident Bank Foundation.
